WHERE IS THE MAN???

THE TRICK IS TO FIND THE MAN IN THE COFFEE BEANS:

This is bizarre - after you find the guy - it’s so obvious.

Once you find him - it’s embarrassing, and you think, Why didn’t I see him immediately?

Doctors have concluded that if you find the man in the coffee beans in 3 seconds, the right half of your brain is better developed than most people.

If you find the man between 3 seconds and 1 minute, the right half of the brain is developed normally.

If you find the man between 1 minute and 3 minutes, then the right half of your brain is functioning slowly and you need to eat more protein

If you have not found the man after 3 minutes, the advice is to look for more of this type of exercise to make that part of the brain stronger!!!
And, yes, the man is really there!!!

HAVE FUN!!!!!

THINKING!

So, I have been thinking! (my dh usually says: OH no ...she is thinking again...we're in trouble!) LOL...I receive a good deal of E mail about my site Luminosity
How the affirmations that I do, Monday through Friday, touch their lives and makes them think about different things....So here is where the "thinking" comes in!! (LOL) I have decided that come JANUARY 1, 2008 I will be finishing up the Luminosity site and beginning a NEW SITE...where I will help you do your own affirmation pages by providing some writing prompts....I will still share my affirmations but would love for others to JOIN WITH ME in this adventure...I will be posting this again and hope that I will HEAR FROM YOU and let me know if you would love to join in the fun of exploring FROM THE INSIDE OUT....which will be the new site once I get it perfected!! Now, this would be a place where you can take the prompt (or use your own insight) and then once you complete your affirmation you will be able to place a link to your site in the comment section to share what it is that you are focusing on or learned about yourself..... WHAT DO YOU THINK??? (If you want to do artwork...do so...If you want to just write...that is cool too...because Affirmations are YOURS to learn from and there is NO RIGHT WAY OR WRONG WAY to do them!)
WOULD YOU LIKE TO PLAY NEXT YEAR AND LEARN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR HONEST SPIRIT?
LET ME KNOW I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Something about Fall.....

What is it about fall that makes us want to nest??? Makes us want to clean and organize our space?
Like many of you I have a studio in my home...well, some days it is a studio and some days it is just a path to the place where I work!! Today, it is a path...I am finishing up a project and working daily on my affirmation pages...I have a list of deadlines on my wall (I am a last minute deadline girl as you all know!! It just seems to make my creative juices flow!)But before I can really get into the next project I have to pick up and clean my studio space!! Now, this is no easy task!! Because I am learning that part of the clutter is what makes me the most creative! I like to be surrounded, almost nestled into the surroundings in some sort of way, as if I am a part of it and not just the person that comes in here to work or play....I am sure that I do not own a pair of pants, or shirt that does not have some kind of paint, glue or glitter on it! I get a new pair of pj's and a bathrobe every year and PROMISE myself that I will NOT wear them in the studio and then BAM...I do and christen it with some kind of medium! As I type this I can barely see any wood on the top of this desk...It is covered with papers and affirmations, trinkets of all shapes and sizes and books that bring me peace and creative inspiration.
So, what is it about fall that makes us want to clean and prepare for the winter ahead? Is it something that is just a part of nature like the squirrels and bears do before the cold of winter hits? Do we do this instinctively the way nature does...I am watching out the window as leaves are falling gently from the trees in my yard, feathering the ground lightly to allow the grass a blanket which to slumber under....As I gaze and ponder what it is that needs to be done in here to gently ease myself into this cold weather, I wonder, how many others are doing the same!
So today, may you feather your abode and prepare yourself to be creative and strong...may you know that this process is going on in other studios at the very same time and feel a comfort of connection....

Pattie

Memories to last a life time!

I have returned home from my trip to visit the most gracious couple I have had the pleasure to know...Debs and Tim not only opened their beautiful home to me, but also their hearts. On the beautiful island of Key West, Florida they opened the door to their home, where wonderment and treasures adorned every square inch of it. Such a feast for the eyes for an artist...I would touch things and see the gatherings of a life time in their home....And had the privilege to hear the stories that connected these collections to their hearts...and now etched into my mind and heart also...I could sit on their front porch and hear the swaying of the palms at sunset, see the opening of the bird of paradise flowers in the neighbors yard, butterflies, lizards, iguanas, and birds...for one who needed serenity this was certainly paradise! The sunsets, the food, the laughter, the stories, the freedom and the abundance of friendship and love was all so comforting to my heart... While I was taken on sight seeing adventures, went to fantasy fest , and ate the most wonderful meals...it is the fullness of my heart that I bring back with me...the unconditional amount of open hospitality, the closeness of the life stories that we shared and the feeling of family that my memory will hold with the most loving of thoughts. I am aware that one does not have to be born into this family in order to belong....My heart is full and I miss them already. So from my heart to yours I know dear Debs and Tim that thank you for what you have given me is such a small set of words but my heart is in every letter....
Today, I wish for all of you to know and experience that which a friend can bring to your table. And that you too will feel the love deep within your heart and carry that with you forever.
Artfully Yours,
Pattie
